2024 Atlantic Hurriane Season
Accuweather has updated their outlook for the 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season. They are expecting this season to be a “blockbuster event” with an updated forecast of 20-25 named storms, 8-12 hurricanes, and 4-7 major hurricanes (cat 3 or higher); which is well above the 30 year historical average. It Only Takes One Storm
The 2023 season left its mark with several impactful lanfalling storms, each leaving a distinct trail of destruction. An average season typically sees 14 named storms, 7 hurricanes and 3 major hurricanes. However, the 2023 season produced 20 named storms, 7 hurricanes, and 3 major hurricanes ranking fourth in terms of storm numbers.
