We’re still monitoring two tropical waves we’ve been watching all week.
One is just north of Haiti and moving toward the Bahamas. It’s very disorganized and not expected to develop, but as it moves into the Bahamas this weekend, it will send more moisture toward Florida. South Florida especially, but also Central Florida, will see an increase in storm coverage on Friday and Saturday thanks to this approaching wave. The second area is still over by the coast of Africa and is headed west. It’s not likely to develop in the next several days, but once it get closer to the Leeward Islands early next week, it will have a better chance of developing.
The National Hurricane Center gives this second wave a 70% chance of developing in the next five days.
