Good morning!!!

Just when I thought hurricane season was over there is a new storm that has the potential to affect our area.

I vacillated whether to send this email out as I am not an alarmist but after speaking to my wife she said, and I agreed that it was important to inform everyone and to make everyone aware of the possibility of a storm coming our way.  On Wednesday evening there was more of a chance of the storm coming our way then the model changed to be less favorable on Thursday, and now this morning the present models show it hitting the west Coast of Florida but not sure how high and if it hits lower could affect our area, however they just do not know. It is amazing to me that with all the technology that we have the meteorologists cannot do better.

It is too early to tell at this point where the storm is hitting but we are watching closely. I am hoping that the new forecast that comes out tomorrow will be more telling. As of now, the spaghetti maps are all over the place.  I can assure you I will not be having pasta this weekend. The meteorologists are predicting the storm should weaken when it crosses over the Yucatan peninsula, but I honestly do not count on their predictions.

At this point we are just watching the storm and will send an update over the weekend.  As this storm is again coming from the West to the East there is not much time to react so we will need to move quickly if there’s a new prediction.  There will be no time to procrastinate.

UNLIKE past storms where we have gone into action and our clients have not been in residence. This is different as MOST of our clients are now in residence. For this storm we will only be closing homes at the requests of our clients. I will send more information over the weekend if the storm is predicted to turn and be more powerful. We will let everyone know when the drop-dead date to let us know if you want your home closed up or your furniture put away.  We will not be able to handle requests after that date as there will be no time. As I stated earlier in this email it is not time to procrastinate. If you just want cushions or loose items put away, we can accommodate these requests as well.

One of our jobs is to be on top of the storms and ensure that your home is protected, and we are 100% committed to this task.

I need a drink and a vacation after this hurricane season!

Please call our office if you have any questions

Thanks,

Chip
