As of this morning, the latest forecast for Hurricane Erin brings a bit of welcome news, the storm is expected to swing north and avoid the Florida coast. While that’s a relief, Erin is still projected to remain a major storm with very strong winds, so it’s worth keeping a close eye on.

We’re tracking Hurricane Erin closely and will continue to stay updated on every advisory. If the storm’s path changes in a way that could impact our area, I’ll send out an immediate email update and post the latest information on our website so you can prepare.

For those who like to follow the details, here are two of my favorite storm-tracking resources:

  • Mike’s Weather Pagespaghettimodels.com – an in-depth look at the models and storm data.

  • National Hurricane Centernhc.noaa.gov – the official source for hurricane forecasts and advisories.

Attached is the projected track map for Hurricane Erin as of 5:00 AM today.

If you have questions about hurricane protection for your home, please email or call our office — during storm season, email is the quickest way to get a response.

Here’s to hoping Hurricane Erin stays far out to sea and that the rest of this hurricane season is calm for Florida and the entire U.S.

Stay safe,
