Good Evening!!!
This is an update in regards to Hurricane Ian which will be making landfall on the west side of Florida sometime tomorrow. Even though the storm is not hitting the coast till tomorrow we are starting to feel the effects of the storm. It has been raining cats and dogs in South Palm Beach County and this has been moving to the north part of the county during the day.
Palm Beach County is now under a tropical warning. The storm that was predicted to miss us will not hit us directly but we will feel the effects with a tremendous amount of rain and wind gusts from bands of the outskirts of the storm. It just goes to show us that the meteorologists just cannot pinpoint where the storms are going. The storm could move and we could have more wind than predicted but at this point it is too late to act. Moving forward we will send out communication like I always do well in advance and if the state of Florida is in the cone of uncertainty we will be going into action to secure your home unless we hear from you otherwise. The unpredictability of the storm path makes it too difficult to react so I would rather err on the side of caution and close your home than have your home unprepared.
All requests to have us move furniture and close accordions have been or will be taken care of by tomorrow at noon.
Storms are very stressful for everyone!!! We want to try and alleviate as much of this stress as possible. If you would like for us to complete a post hurricane inspection on Friday after the storm has passed we are happy to coordinate this for you. ( just email me back that you want this completed) This would entail a check of the home to make sure there were no leaks and no damage to your home. We will send a detailed report. This is not part of the homewatch program and a special inspection.
As always if you have any questions or need additional information please let us know.
Thanks,
Chip
