I am RELIEVED to let you know the storm has veered west and our area is no longer in danger at this time.
As you can see by the models below the storm moved over 150 miles to the west from when I sent my original email which was on Wednesday. Storms are unpredictable which is why we always need to be ready to be ready. The storm is now predicted to pick up strength and they are predicting it will hit the area shown in the diagram as a possible Hurricane.
It is still very early in hurricane season, and we will be monitoring and communicating to you any potential storms. If a storm forms and we are in the cone we will automatically go into action as there is very little time to prepare
