I wanted to keep everyone abreast of the ensuing storm that is headed our way.
The storm is intensifying in the Gulf of Mexico and is predicted to hit the west coast of Florida. There is about a 50-mile area that it could hit on the west coast which will also then determine how much wind we have in our area. The meteorologists do not know but they do know the storm will be affecting our area with heavy rain starting later today and will start feeling the effects of the storm starting early Wednesday.
The Governor has declared a state of emergency for 30 counties in Florida and Palm Beach County is one of them.
We are engaging in hurricane protocol and will begin tomorrow morning closing accordion shutters of homes and putting furniture away to ensure the safety of your house. I realize in some cases we just opened the house for your arrivals, but no one can predict when a storm is coming, and we are erring on the side of caution. We want you to be in the best position to avoid any loss.
Since my last email last night, I have heard from many of you on special instructions regarding the closing of your home or that you do not want any service performed. We will take care of all these responses so no need to reply again unless you have further questions. I need to hear from anyone else by tonight if you do not want any service performed. Otherwise, your home will be closed up as there is no time to prepare and we want to make sure you are protected. As I stated before this storm came on us unexpectedly and since it is coming from the west to the east did not give us the normal time to prepare which is 5 to 7 days. We literally have two days to make sure your house is closed properly.
All team members and crews will be meeting at the office tomorrow morning and we will be starting closing and prepping for the storm. It is my hope the storm will move to the north and we will not feel the hard effects of a hurricane but in case we will be prepared.
The only good thing so far about today is that the Ravens are beating the Bengals at the time of this email. I am hoping when I send a later update they will have won.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me via email and I will get back to you.
