Good Evening!!!

My wife and I just got home from a great dinner, and I received new information about Tropical Storm Milton which will soon be Hurricane Milton and wanted to give everyone an update.

I have been watching this storm all week and it appeared it was just going to be a rain event. That is what the meteorologists were predicting and was not that concerned about it due to what they were saying.  Now the storm has gained strength and appears it could hit the west coast of Florida as a Category 3 storm and when reaching our area could be a low-grade Category 1 storm or strong tropical storm.  This storm is moving very fast as it is coming from the west, and we will only have a few days to prepare.  When storms are coming from the east to the west and from the Atlantic our preparation tie gives us many days to prepare.

We are presently in the Cone to be affected by this storm but too early to tell if it will go north or south at this time. I am not a meteorologist and really do not know where the center of the storm will be so if it hits in the middle of the cone right now, we will be affected.

I will be sending out another email in the latter part of tomorrow morning, but we are preparing to act if the storm’s path does not change.  The storm is not severe enough to warrant panels being put up, but I am thinking we are going to close accordion shutters and put away furniture.  My attitude is to err on the side of being safe versus being sorry.  Unfortunately, we have put out quite a bit of furniture for arrivals and will have to reverse this process.

If you do not want your shutters and furniture, put away, please email me right away, otherwise we will start our hurricane prep first thing early Monday morning.  There will be no time to delay as the storm is predicted to affect our area on Tuesday with rains, but Wednesday will start feeling the winds from the storm

I will be monitoring my email so please email me any requests, concerns etc. and I will get back to you. This process is not an easy one, but we are 100% committed to making sure your home is safe

Thanks as always,

Chip
