2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season
Accuweather has updated their outlook for the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season. They are predicting a dynamic and volatile “above average” hurricane season; with an updated forecast of 13-18 named storms, 7-10 hurricanes, and 3-5 major hurricanes (cat 3 or higher); which is well above the 30 year historical average. It Only Takes One Storm…
The 2024 season left its mark being one of the most devastating and costliest seasons on record. An average season typically sees 14 named storms, 7 hurricanes and 3 major hurricanes. However, the 2024 season produced 18 named storms, 11 hurricanes, and 5 major hurricanes. 6 of those storms had direct U.S. impact.

By knowing what actions to take before the hurricane season begins, when a hurricane approaches, and when the storm is in your area, as well as what to do after a hurricane leaves your area, you can increase your chance of survival.
